David Sefton
David is a commercial lawyer with over 30 years’ experience serving as a principal legal adviser and trusted counsel to businesses of all sizes across multiple sectors.
He advises on a broad range of legal matters relating to commercial and business operations, with particular expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements. His work also extends to sector-specific compliance and general regulatory obligations arising from commercial activities.
David is one of the founders of Atuka, Inc., a Canadian contract research organisation that supports the development of novel therapeutics and diagnostics for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He has served as both director and general counsel to Atuka.
He currently works as a consultant with Laytons ETL, a London-based law firm, and as General Counsel at Boutinot, a UK-based wine producer and distributor with operations around the world.
David’s extensive in-house, board-level, and general counsel experience gives him a valuable commercial perspective that enhances his legal insight and practical approach to solving complex business issues.
